MORE FLIGHTS BY MAS AND AIR ASIA FROM THAILAND

BANGKOK, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- National carrier Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and low-cost-carrier Air Asia are mounting more rescue flights in the coming few days to carry stranded passengers in Thailand.
MAS is operating two more flights on Tuesday from the Utapao airport near
Pattaya after two left for Kuala Lumpur Monday.
AirAsia, which will start receiving passengers with confirmed seats at the
Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec) in Bangna, Bangkok
starting Tuesday for check-in before they are taken to Utapao, is mounting more
rescue flights from today until Dec 4 to ferry stranded guests to Chiang Mai,
Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Macau, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
On Tuesday, AirAsia will have two return flights on the Utapao-Hong Kong
and Utapao-Singapore routes, and one return flight on Utapao-Shenzhen,
Utapao-Kuala Lumpur, Utapao-Chiang Mai, Utapao-Phuket, Chiang Mai-Singapore,
Chiang Mai-Kuala Lumpur, Phuket-Singapore and Phuket-Kuala Lumpur
routes.
On Wednesday, there will be two return flights on Utapao-Hong Kong and
Utapao-Singapore, and one return flight on Utapao-Macau, Utapao-Shenzhen,
Utapao-Chiang Mai, Utapao-Phuket, Chiang Mai-Singapore, Chiang Mai-Kuala Lumpur,
Phuket-Singapore and Phuket-Kuala Lumpur.
On Dec 4, the airline will have two return flights on Utapao-Macau,
Utapao-Hong Kong and Utapao-Singapore and one return flight on Utapao-Chiang
Mai, Utapao-Phuket, Chiang Mai-Singapore, Chiang Mai-Kuala Lumpur,
Phuket-Singapore and Phuket-Kuala Lumpur.
Passengers are advised to check the full schedule of the above flights by
visiting www.airasia.com. Guests arriving at Utapao will be transported by bus
to Suan Lum Night Bazaar in central Bangkok while those flying back to Kuala
Lumpur will be provided bus pick-up to Utapao from Bitec.
