S. Korea to deliver 3 bln won in aid to N. Korea

SEOUL, July 15 (Yonhap) -- South Korea announced a decision Tuesday to provide North Korea with aid worth 3 billion won (US$2.9 million), a move coinciding with the launch of a presidential committee to map out full-scale plans for the reunification of the peninsula. Seoul will use government funds to support civilian groups to offer assistance to North Korea in the agricultural, livestock and health-care sectors, said the unification ministry.
