Russia insists Kiev, Ukraine’s southeast cease fire, start dialogue - FM

MOSCOW, July 15 (Itar-Tass) - Russia insists Kiev and Ukraine’s southeast cease fire and start a dialogue, Russia’s Foreign Ministry says. The ministry commented on the results of Tuesday’s meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasian and Chinese Ambassador in Moscow Li Hui. The meeting was held on China’s initiative. “Karasin and Li Hui exchanged views on major issues, including on the situation in Ukraine. Russia informed China about its initiatives for promoting the peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis,” the ministry says. “The parties confirmed the commitment to the Geneva agreements and the Berlin Declaration of July 2. The ceasefire and the dialogue are the priorities for de-escalation in Ukraine,” the ministry says. Learn more on itar-tass.com
