Palestinians Appreciate Iranian Leader, Govˈt, Nation For Support

Beirut, July 27, IRNA – A group of Palestinian religious and political leaders in a meeting with a visiting Iranian deputy foreign minister on Saturday appreciated unconditional support of Iranian Supreme Leader, government, and participation of nation in the International Qods Day rallies. Representatives of various Palestinian groups in Lebanon, inclusive of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and a coalition of resistance movements, along with a number of Palestinian religious leaders had a meeting with the visiting Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian at the IRI Embassy in Beirut. On behalf of the brave Palestinian nation, after praising the glorious campaign of the noble Palestinian nation and their resistance defenders in Gaza and the West Bank, they appreciated the whole supporters of the Palestinians, especially Islamic Republic of Iran, Syria, Iraq and the Lebanese resistance for their comprehensive and continuous contributions to the Palestinians, despite the pressures and sabotage of the Zionistsˈ regional and international allies. The representatives of the Palestinian nation meanwhile praised the broad movements of the Iranian diplomatic apparatus and high ranking officials in various levels and expressed hope that Palestine will fully achieve its rights under the supportive umbrella of Iranˈs support. The Palestinians residing in Palestine and abroad, despite the imposed hardships against them and suffering broad loss of life and material damages are not willing to yield to an unjust ceasefire agreement with the usurper Zionist regime, especially not that they have suffered the hardships of a heavy war with the enemy and seen the results of their brave resistance, stressed the representatives of the Palestinian nation. They said that the US maneuvers aimed at brokering a truce is aimed at disarming the resistance movement in return for the construction of an international port and an airport for Gaza Strip, but on various pretexts they try not to yield to the main demand of the Gaza residents, that is lifting the seven year siege of Gaza. Both sides in the meeting emphasized the dire need for full consciousness for encountering the enemiesˈ plots aimed at sowing the seeds of discord and praised the stand adopted by a large number of Lebanese Parliament members in revealing the high peril of the ISIS and the other terrorist groups for all Islamic countries, including and especially, for the Palestinians. Amir Abdollahian and the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Fatˈhali, too, stressed the great importance of the Palestinian ideals for the Iranian nation, government and high ranking officials. They also highlighted the evermore importance of full alertness for countering the endless plots hatched by the enemies and the great significance of Islamic unity and solidarity, ensuring the Palestinians of Iranˈs unlimited and unconditional support for them till full liberation of Palestine. Earlier in the day, in a meeting with the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Amir Abdollahian while praising the heroic resistance of the Palestinian nation and resistance groups in confrontation with the usurper Zionistsˈ atrocious invasion against Gaza Strip emphasized the continuous resolute support of Iran for them. He referred to the diplomatic moves and maneuvers of the Iranian government aimed at blocking the path for broader invasion of the Zionists and forwarding of food and medical aids for the defenseless Palestinian people through Egypt, as well as transfer of the injured Palestinians, especially women and children to Iranian hospitals for medical treatment. The Iranian deputy foreign minister for Arab and African Affairs referred to the desperate conditions with which the racist Zionist regime is entangled in its shameless confrontation with the power of resistance of the Gaza residents and resistance fighters. ˈThe victories achieved by the Palestinian resistance have disturbed all the calculations of the enemy,ˈ he added. Amir Abdollahian who arrived in Beirut on Saturday morning before meeting Ramadan Abdullah had meetings with the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tamam Salam, and Foreign Minister Jubran Basil on bilateral relations, regional developments, and especially the latest status in Syria, Iraq and Gaza.
