Putin offers condolences as people die in Indian flood

MOSCOW, August 5 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent condolences to India's President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for flood victims in the western state of Maharashtra, reported Kremlin press office. The president also wished those injured a speedy recovery, the press office said. Pouring rain in Maharashtra caused a landslide that killed no less than 63; dozens were under the wreckage.
