Russia bans food imports from Australia, Canada, EU, US, Norway

MOSCOW, August 7 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian government has imposed a total ban on imports of beef, pork, poultry, fish, cheese, fruit, vegetables and dairy products from Australia, Canada, the EU, U.S. and Norway, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday. In retaliation against Western sanctions, President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday signed a decree limiting the imports of agricultural, raw and food products from countries that imposed sanctions against Russia.
