PAN PACIFIC WINS 'WORLD'S LEADING AIRPORT HOTEL 2008' AWARD

SEPANG, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- World Travel Awards (WTA) has named Pan Pacific
Kuala Lumpur International Airport the "World's Leading Airport Hotel".

Pan Pacific general manager, Hans G. Winsnes, said the award was highly
coveted and sought-after as it reflected the true customer experience and
perception of an organisation.

"This latest recognition comes barely four months after the hotel was voted
'Asia's Leading Airport Hotel' by the influential awards programme ... two
coveted WTA awards in just one year," he told reporters after announcing the
hotel's latest achievement here Wednesday.

He said the hotel was elated to receive the latest recognition.

"Receiving the WTA award says a lot about Pan Pacific's unwavering
commitment and continuous quest in giving our best to our guests.

"This award will further strengthen travellers' confidence in our services
and facilities," he said.

Winsnes said persistence in excellence was the contributing factor to
the hotel being voted the world's best airport hotel.

"Our focus is and always will be our valued guests. The hotel provides
unparalled service and utmost attention to the comfort and convenience of
business travelers," he said.

Pan Pacific won the "Best Airport Hotel 2005" award by Business Asia
magazine.

He said based on the high occupancy rate for 2008, the hotel would continue
to record good sales next year.

Currently, he said, the hotel was upgrading its web booking system and has
invested in a new energy system that would cut the electricity bill by about
RM562,000 (US$1=RM3.63) per annum.
