Thai junta to heed public opinions on energy

BANGKOK, August 15 (TNA) - Thailand's army-led National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has assured to listen to public opinions before concluding its national energy reform plan. Army and NCPO Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha aired the stance on Friday, when the National Energy Policy Board held the first meeting to consider Thailand's new national electricity generation plan, set to be implemented from 2015- 2035. While opening the meeting, General Prayuth insisted that he would listen to people's energy troubles and ideas so that the NCPO could design suitable public participation in the energy reform. General Prayuth suggested that Thailand's energy development make a new start on May 22, 2014, when the junta took control of the national administration, with what happening before to be only acknowledged and solutions and improvement in all issues and dimensions to be worked out thereafter for maximal fairness.
