Two drug suspects nabbed near Bangkok

BANGKOK, Aug 24 (TNA) - Police have arrested two men and seized more than 1.6 million methamphetamine pills at a gas station in Ayutthaya. The illegal drug was probably the same drug lot seized recently from Pol. Lt. Col. Chamnan Poompaijit because they contained an identical number of ‘999’ on the packages. Pol. Lt. Col. Chamnan was nabbed recently in the northern capital of Chiang Mai along with 800,000 methamphetamine pills and one kilogramme of crystal methamphetamine pills, or ‘ice’. The two men reportedly told police investigators that they were hired to transport the seized drug to Ayutthaya province before it is sent to the South. Police said they believed the seized drug belonged to Lt. Col. Yi Se’s drug trafficking syndicate. (TNA)
