Iran will strongly respond any aggression: Gen. Dehqan

TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (MNA) – Iran’s defense minister has said the Islamic Republic will strongly pound any outsider offenses in any time. Brig. Gen. Dehqan on IRIB's Special Newstalk Sunday night pointed to downing of an Israeli drone near Natanz and said that Iranian military equipments are capable enough to respond any military threat. Asked about Parchin military site and International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) inspectors presence there, Dehqan said that the Islamic Republic activities are clear and under IAEA supervision. He added that the IAEA had already visited the site and all its parts but under the Israelis’ pressure they have raised the issue one more time. “No NPT article entitles IAEA with the right to visit the military sites,” said he and concluded that there were no more reasons for the Islamic Republic to allow foreigners into Parchin once again. Brig. Gen. Dehqan further reiterated that Defense Industry Organization of Iran is based on indigenous technologies and knowledge which make it impossible for the enemies to know details. “We have achieved technologies which catapult Iran to top position in defense capabilities and we believe that we should act in a way that we will not be surprised by any foreign threat,” said Dehqan.
