Inheritance, land taxes expected to be soon promulgated in Thailand

BANGKOK, September 18 (TNA) - The Thai government is pushing for the promulgation of inheritance and land taxes soon. Thai Deputy Prime Minister MR Pridiyathorn Devakula, who oversees economic affairs, told journalists on Thursday that the issue will be forwarded to the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) as soon as possible, especially the inheritance tax. The deputy premier said several sectors have no objection to the government's plan to collect inheritance tax at 10 per cent. According to the deputy prime minister, some countries collect inheritance tax at 50 per cent. (TNA)
