Forbes Media LLC confident in Thailand's economic potential

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, September 27 (TNA) - Forbes Media LLC, a world leading media firm, has expressed its confidence in the Thai economy and in Thailand's potential as a gateway to the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Steve Forbes and Christopher Forbes, Chairman and Vice Chairman of Forbes Media LLC, expressed the confidence when paying a courtesy call on Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister General Tanasak Patimapragorn on the sidelines of the 69th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Friday (local time). During the meeting, both sides also discussed ways to strengthen ties and cooperation. Forbes Media LLC also decided to organise an award ceremony, "the 2014 "Forbes Asia’s Best under a Billion Award Ceremony and Dinner" (BuB), in Thailand later this year, after realising that the Thai government is determined to march for a sustained democratic system with national reform, while the domestic political situation has returned to normal. During the upcoming BUB, Forbes Media LLC will present awards to 200 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), considered to have economic influence in Asia and the Pacific, including nine Thai SMEs.(TNA)
