SKALI TO SET UP MEDIA CENTRE

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- A relief team set up by the Skali Group,
an
e-business enterprise, is planning to set up a media centre by 4pm Tuesday to
facilitate journalists covering the Bukit Antarabangsa landslide
tragedy.

Skali Group group chief executive officer and founder Tengku Farith
Rithaudeen said the proposed media centre would be under the supervision of the
Skali Relief Team and would be operating from the Burger King outlet next to the
Petronas service station.

"The media centre will share the internet connection provided by Burger
King
and several other restaurants nearby.

"For a start, we will operate the media centre with five laptop computers
and will try to look for more in near future," he told Bernama.

The proposed media centre will operate between 10am and 10pm daily.

On the relief efforts, Tengku Farith said, so far 300 families affected by
the landslide had registered with the team to seek updates pertaining to the
electricity supply and safety in the area.

The Skali Relief Team can be contacted at hotline 016-672 6404 or its blog
at skalicentre.blogspot.com.
