German FM: Iran nuclear talks' differences can be overcome

Berlin, Nov 16, IRNA -- Any lingering differences in the talks between the six world powers and Iran on its nuclear program can still be resolved by the November 24 deadline, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier told the daily Die Welt on Sunday. 'We have to do everything to reach an agreement. We have negotiated constructively, however there are still significant differences on the important parameters which I think can be overcome,' said Steinmeier. 'We have made more progress on the issue over the past year than the last nine years,' he reiterated. Steinmeier stressed again the target date for a comprehensive lasting nuclear accord should be November 24, saying there was no guarantee that extending the negotiations would make it any easier to seal a deal at a later time. He also hailed Russia's constructive in the final important stretch of nuclear talks./end
