DEPUTY PM MEETS RUSSIAN COUNTERPART

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khuelsukh Friday met with Yu.Trutnev, the Russian Deputy PM and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District. Mr Khurelsukh expressed a satisfaction with intensification of the mutual high level visits and emphasized that the visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin paid last September to Mongolia significantly contributed to the relations. He said Mongolia put forward a proposal to the Russian side to reduce the tax to zero for a concrete period for Mongolian agricultural products such as meat and light industrial goods with an aim to increase and to balance the bilateral trade turnover. He requested the Russian Deputy PM to support this suggestion and said the Mongolian government will make efforts to forward a course of the framed by the cooperation biggest projects. In response, Trutnev said his country is ready to build a joint meat factory starting it by feasibility study if the Mongolian side backs. Present at the meeting were N.Tomorkhuu, the Minister of Road and Transportation; R.Jigjid, the Minister of Mining; I.K.Azizov, the Ambassador of Russia to Mongolia; A.S.Tsydenov, the Vice Minister of Transportation of Russia; and V.N.Morozov, the first vice president of the Russian Railway JSC.
