NAT’L TRAINING AND CONSULTATION OF IMO TO BE HELD

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The International Maritime Organization (IMO) will hold a training and consultation for the first time in Mongolia on December 15-19. The events are expected to be attended by Ms Sezin Sinanoglu, the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Mongolia; Mr Moin Ahmed, a Member State Audit Officer at IMO; and N.Tomorkhuu, the Minister of Road and Transportation. Mongolia joined the IMO as member in 1996. Mongolia is a landlocked country but has joined some 20 treaties and conventions such as the 1989 International Convention on Salvage and the 2006 ILO Convention on marine labour.
