Party leaders receive China’s top legislative body

(KPL) President Choummaly Sayasone and Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh yesterday received the working visit of the Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China’s top legislative body, Ms Chen Zhili, Vientiane.
During the meeting the leaders expressed congratulation and highly valued the visit of Ms Zhili to Laos as an enhancement of the existing comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
President Choummaly insisted that the stance point of the Lao Government is to foster the existing traditional comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
President Choummaly expressed thanks to the Chinese Government for providing assistance to Laos in different areas. He congratulated the great success of the national development and rapid economic growth of China.
On 10 December, the President of the National Assembly Thongsing Thammavong also received the Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China’s top legislative body, Ms Chen Zhili and her delegation who is on Laos visit between 10 and 12 December.
NA President Thongsing highly valued the visit of Ms Zhili as a remarkable long-standing enhancement and cooperation between the two national assemblies.
The delegation of the top China legislature led by Ms Zhili met Vice-President of the National Assembly Ms Pany Yathortou which the two delegations discussed further cooperation between the two legislature bodies and they also shared views on economy and political environments of their common interest.
Mr Samane Vinhaket, a Politburo member, received Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Politics and Administration Institute of Vietnam, Deputy Prof Dr Le Huu Nghia, on 10 December, in Vientiane.
Mr Samane who is also the Supervisor of the Committee for Party Ideology and Propaganda expressed warm welcome and highly valued the working visit of Deputy Prof Dr Le Huu Nghia and his delegation.
The visit is a significant landmark for enhancing the existing friendship and integrated cooperation between the two Parties and people of Laos and
Vietnam.
