Laos, Thailand boost trade through exhibition

(KPL) More than 200 booths from the public sector and private companies of Laos and Thailand are represented at the
Indochina Exhibition, That Inghang square,
Savannakhet province.
The exhibition started on 8 December and will close on 13 December.
Mr Somvang Vongvat, Head of the Industry and Commerce Division of
Savannakhet province, said that the 2008 Laos-Thailand Indochina
Exhibition was to stimulate the bilateral trade, investment and tourism between the two countries.
In addition to opening more opportunity for
customers of the two countries to access to each other products, he continued, the event was to share views and
experiences on production and meet trade and investment partners so as to stimulate mutual economic growth of each country,” he said. The exhibition was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Thai Ministry of Commerce.
The event is attended by 233 booths of which 40 booths are from Savannakhet province and 193 booths from Thailand.
