BESSAR AGAIN ON 2008 DELOITTE ASIA PACIFIC FAST GROWING TECHNOLOGY FIRMS
HONG KONG, Dec 12 (Bernama) -- Bernama Systems & Solutions Advisor Sdn Bhd (BESSAR) has again made it to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2008 Ranking and CEO Survey of fast growing technology companies in the region.
It is the second time in three years that the subsidiary of the Malaysian
National News Agency (Bernama) was profiled in the survey that covers Australia,
China (including Hong Kong), India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia,
New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand.
Twelve Malaysian firms made the latest list with five involved in
software.
Companies are ranked according to average revenue growth over three
years.
Taiwanese, Korean, Indian and Chinese companies dominated up more than half
the list.
BESSAR, established in 2003, tripled its revenue from 2005 to 2007, said
chief executive officer Muniyati Muhamad who received the award here on
Thursday.
"Once you are in the list, it becomes harder to keep a place because we are
in an industry that is changing not just by the day but by every moment. We have
to keep strategising to identify new opportunities and markets and innovate
products," she said.
BESSAR counts among its clients, sovereign investment arm, Khazanah
Nasional, asset management company, Valuecap Sdn Bhd, Public Mutual Bhd,
UOB-Kayhian Singapore, Malaysia's Education Ministry, Employees' Provident Fund
and Perbadanan Nasional.
The company, based in Technology Park Malaysia, was named in the list for
the first time in 2006.
In addition to software design, BESSAR has also developed a comprehensive
range of technical support services and a provider of financial information,
data and news, digital multimedia broadcasting systems, wireless broadcasting
technology and office automation systems.
