Donetsk, Lugansk leaders agree to sign Normandy quartet’s final document

KIEV, February 12. /TASS/. The leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, Aleksandr Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky, have agreed to sign the final document coordinated by the Normandy quartet, a reliable source has told TASS. Taking part in the Contact Group talks for Ukraine are special representative for humanitarian affairs, leader of the non-governmental organization Ukrainian Choice Viktor Medvedchuk and Ukraine’s former president Leonid Kuchma. The South-East was represented by the leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, Aleksandr Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky. Other participants are the OSCE chairman-in-office’s special envoy Heidi Tagliavini and Russian ambassador in Kiev Mikhail Zurabov, who acts in the capacity of mediator. Read more
