Disasters and accidents in figures

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In January of 2015, 517 disasters and accidents occurred. Due to them, 11 people died, 169 heads of livestock and animals were lost, says the Statistical Committee. Moreover, there were 468 construction fires and 39 cases of animal rabies diseases. The estimated damage caused by the fires amounted to 1.9 billion Togrog, by rabies--MNT 6.8 million, and a total expenditure for the elimination of the disasters and accidents' consequences reached MNT 13.7 million. Ten people died at construction sites, one person--in mining and rock falls. The number of the disaster and accidents declined by 30 cases against the same period of 2014.
