Independence, freedom, democracy gifts of Iran’s Revolution

Islamabad, Feb 14, IRNA – Pakistan’s Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid referred to independence, freedom, dignity and true democracy as real achievements of the Islamic Revolution for the Iranian nation. The minister made the remarks while speaking to IRNA on the occasion of the 36th victory anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979. He was the Pakistani guest of honor in a ceremony held to mark the occasion. Referring to the long history of Iran-Pakistan cordial relations, Rashid expressed hope that bilateral ties will further promote in the future, particularly in the economic and trade fields. Iranians marked Revolution’s anniversary on February 11 holding various ceremonies and rallies both inside and outside the country. Iran’s Islamic Revolution put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in 1979.
