World rankings of judokas released

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The International Judo Federation (IJF) issued February 24 the latest update of the world’s top judokas in all male and female weight categories. World champions Mongolians G.Boldbaatar (men 60kg) and M.Urantsetseg (women 48kg) kept their leadership with 2,260 and 3,058 points, respectively, although their points went down against the previous rankings. A State Honored Sportsman D.Amartuvshin went up to the third place with 1,826 points in men 60kg division. G.Otgontsetseg IMS was ranked 8th in women 48kg category. In the second lightest category for men division (66 kg), an international master of sports D.Tomorkhuleg increased his ranking to the third place with 1,600 points. This category has been led by a Brazilian Charles Chibana with 1,800 points. Olympic medalists S.Nyam-Ochir (1,328 points) and Kh.Tsagaanbaatar (1,150 points) were ranked fifth and 12th in men 73kg. International master of sports of Mongolian A.Tsolmon was 11th in women 52kg, going up from 10th place, having 1,120 points; D.Sumya (women 57kg) was the seventh with 1,466 points, and Ts.Naranjargal (women -70 kg)--the 16th with 924 points.
