Ayatollah Khamenei: Zionists behind Islamophobia propaganda

Tehran, March 12, IRNA – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Thursday that the Zionists are scattering Islamophobia because they are scared of losing their illegitimate interests. Addressing members of Assembly of Experts, the Leader said the attempts by the Zionists’ propaganda machine and political apparatus indicated their fear of losing their illegitimate interests. He highlighted the importance of avoiding any passive treatment of the issue of “Islamophobia”. The Ayatollah emphasized that the term “Islamophobia” was in fact a translation of the fear and anxiety world arrogant powers were sensing from the political notions of Islam and those interpretations of Islam which makes its presence in the everyday lives of nations. Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Iranian nation was indeed an advocate of researching, compiling and promoting such a version.
