THREE FOREIGN ENVOYS PRESENT THEIR CREDENTIALS TO M'SIAN KING
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- Three new foreign envoys to Malaysia
presented their credentials to the Malaysian King, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin,
at Istana Negara (National Palace) here Wednesday.
They were Angolan Ambassador Antonio Da Costa Fernandes, Brazilian
Ambassador Sergio De Souza Fontes Arruda and Ghana's High Commissioner, Stephen
Osei Tutu Kyerematen.
Present were Deputy Foreign Minister Abd Rahim Bakri and Foreign Ministry
Secretary-General Rastam Mohamed Isa.
Costa Fernandes, 66, had been Angola's ambassador to India and Thailand
while Souza Fontes Arruda, 65, had served as Brazil's ambassador in Kingston and
Nassau and Kyerematen, 57, was a Frech language teacher before becoming a
regional manager of a reinsurance company from 1997 to 2007.
Tuanku Mizan also granted a farewell audience to three foreign envoys who
had ended their tour of duty here.
They were Argentinian ambassador Alfredo Raul Morelli, Namibian High
Commissioner Neville Melvin Gertze and Lebanese ambassador Khalid Mustafa Al
Kilani.
