'Terbaik Dari Langit' Wins Best Film At AIFFA 2015

KUCHING (Sarawak, Malaysia), April 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysia won two awards at the Asean International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2015 Gala Night held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCKK) here, Saturday. The two awards are Best Film (Terbaik Dari Langit) and Best Actor, Bront Palare from the same film (Terbaik Dari Langit). AIFFA 2015 is endorsed by the ASEAN 10 tourism ministers as the film festival for the region is attended by 200 international personalities and celebrities serve as a good platform to promote business collaborations and networking within the ASEAN film industry. AIFFA 2015 also remarked that Malaysia has a dual role, not only as AIFFA host, but also as ASEAN chairman, and film festival was a move towards the set up of the ASEAN Community at the end of the year. Also present at the gala night were Sarawak Chief Minister, Adenan Satem, Minister of Communication and Multimedia Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Sarawak Housing and Tourism Minister Abang Johari Tun Openg, International movie star, Jackie Chan and Malaysian born international actress Michelle Yeoh. Meanwhile Nora Aunor of Philippines was awarded with Lifetime Achievement Award and Jackie Chan was awarded the ASEAN Inspiration Award.
