Apartment price index in statistics

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The apartment price index (API) increased 2.2 times in a first quarter of this year against the end of 2010, by 0.2%--against the previous year, but decreased by 0.3% against the previous quarter. In the first quarter of 2015, the API rose by 2.8% in Khan-Uul district, by 1.4% in Sukhbaatar district, by 0.5% in Bayangol district, and by 0.3% in Bayanzurkh district against the previous year. It declined by 1.3% in Songinokhairkhan district and by 2.2% in Chingeltei district. There is no change in the API by the first quarter of 2015 in Sukhbaatar and Songinokhairkhan districts against the previous quarter. It decreased by 0.2-0.7% in Khan-Uul, Bayanzurkh, Bayangol and Chingeltei districts against the previous quarter. Price index of apartments built before 1970 increased 2.3% in the first quarter of 2015 against 2014, whereas it declined by 1.8-5.3% in other districts. Moreover, the price index of apartment built between 1970-2001 decreased by 1.1-1.7% in Chingeltei and Songinokhairkhan districts, but increased by 0.1-0.2% in other districts. Prices of flats constructed after 2002 increased by 1.5-4.0%. Prices of apartment built in 1970-2001 did not change in Sukhbaatar and Songinokhairkhan districts, but decreased by 0.2-0.7% in other districts. Furthermore, prices of apartment constructed after 2002 went down by 0.2% in Bayangol district, and it leveled off in other districts.
