CHAIRMAN OF EURASIAN COMMISSION PAYS COURTESY CALL TO TS.ELBEGDORJ

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 7, the Chairman of the Ministers’ Council of the Eurasian Commission Mr V.B.Khristenko paid a courtesy call to President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj, who is on a working visit in Moscow. This commission was changed to an economic union from being a customs’ union connecting Europe and Asia. The President said he was glad to meet Mr Viktor Borisovich, and extended congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. He mentioned that, during the visit of Mrs Tatiyana Valovaya, a member of Minister’s Council of the Eurasian Commission and the Minister in charge of integration and macroeconomic priorities, to Mongolia last March, an efficient meeting held in terms of determining the priorities in the further cooperation. The President Ts.Elbegdorj and the chairman of the Eurasian Commission V.Khristenko arranged to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Mongolian Government and the economic union, in order to found the legal basis for the further cooperation. Through the MoU, the priorities in cooperation will be set and a working group will be formed. Present were at the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Purevsuren, the Chief of Staff of the President’s Office P.Tsagaan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation Sh.Altangerel, the Minister for Trade at the Eurasian Commission A.Slepnev, and the deputy director of the Integration Development Department of the Eurasian Commission S.Shukhno.
