PRESIDENT OF MONGOLIA MEETS WITH VLADIMIR PUTIN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With a working visit to the Russian Federation for taking part in the events of the 70th anniversary of the Victory on Great Patriotic War, the President of Mongolia Mr Ts.Elbegdorj Thursday met with his counterpart of Russia Mr Vladimir Putin, in Moscow. Expressing thanks to Mr Elbegdorj for coming to Russia, the President Mr Putin underlined Mongolia is merited to take part in the anniversary events because Mongolia rendered huge assistance to the Soviet Union in hard times of the war. “I am pleased to say our countries have been maintaining the deep friendly relations. We are touching upon many important issues of the Mongolia-Russia relations. At an initiative of Mr Elbegdorj, a trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Mongolia, Russia and China has been held. This time we have a chance to meet again,” Mr Putin said. In turn, Mr Elbegdorj thanked the Russian President for an audience, and congratulated him and Russian people on the 70th anniversary of the victory on behalf of Mongolian state and people. He wished Russian people big success. After the individual meeting, the sides exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation in the areas of economy and infrastructure and on the trilateral meeting, at a banquet.
