PRESIDENTS HIGHLIGHT EXPANSION OF COOPERATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and the President of Bulgaria R.A.Plevneliev held a tete-a-tete meeting on May 11. They touched upon certain matters of relations between the two countries. The dignitaries emphasized that this visit will result in expanding of bilateral cooperation in sciences, agriculture and economic spheres. Sixty five years have passed since the two countries established diplomatic relations on April 22 of 1950. Embassies were opened in Ulaanbaatar and Sofia in 1961. The relations and cooperation between the two countries had been flourishing in every sector from 1960 to 1990. Although the interactions began to slacken during the early 1990’s, the sides started in 1994 to proactively make efforts to reserve the traditional friendly ties.
