KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- The South Korean government is offering
full scholarships to at least six Malaysian students to complete their

A statement from its embassy here says that the scholarships are to promote
education exchanges and friendship between the two nations.
Students must be below 25 years old, have completed or are scheduled to
finish 12 years of formal education as of March 1, 2009, and have good command
of English.
The scholarship will cover five-year studies in Korea comprising a one-year
Korean language course and four-year undergraduate course. Applicants must also
be willing to promote amicable relations between Malaysia and Korea.
The selected scholars will be given a roundtrip air fare, monthly
allowances
of about RM2,500, settlement allowance, repatriation allowance, language
training expenses, medical insurance as well as full tuition fees.
The last day for application is Feb 5, 2009. Further information and
application forms can be obtained at
