MALAYSIA BORN SUHAILA SUHIMI APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT OF MY DAMN CHANNEL
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysia born Suhaila Suhimi has been appointed as vice president (Advertising, Strategy and Partnerships) at My Damn Channel, a U.S. based entertainment studio and media channel.
My Damn Channel is a new media platform created to empower professional
actors, comedians and musicians to co-produce, distribute and monetize original,
episodic video.
Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Suhaila will report to the channel's
CEO/founder, Rob Barnett.
Artists create programming for the My Damn Channel site and for syndication
on today's most heavily-trafficked online communities and social
networks.
The channel delivers creative control, funding, distribution and revenue to
co-conspirators, including Big Fat Brain, Coolio, Grace Helbig, Steve Kerper,
Kurt Loder, A.D. Miles, etc. The company is supported by an advertising revenue
model, and by licensing the studio's entire portfolio of content across all
forms of digital distribution.
In her new role, Suhaila will develop and manage custom, branded
entertainment campaigns and strategic advertising partnerships.
In a statement released by My Damn Channel, Suhaila said: "Joining My Damn
Channel is a natural fit. I have known Rob since the launch of the company and
have been very impressed by the quality and originality of My Damn Channel's
programmes.
"I look forward to bringing my digital marketing expertise to the
team. We will work with the ad community to co-create compelling, cost effective
campaigns and drive awareness, engagement and traffic for brands that want to be
associated with the best in online comedy, music & sports."
Suhaila, who has extensive advertising experience and relationships to her
new position, was previously Director of Brand Strategy at NBC Universal Digital
Studio where she was responsible for developing original content experiences
across all NBCU digital properties.
