MOU RENEWED ON MONGOLIAN LABOR EXPORT TO S.KOREA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Labor S.Chinzorig is paying a working visit to the Republic of Korea. Mongolia and South Korea renewed the Memorandum of Understanding on Management of Labor Export to the S.Korea on June 30. Previously, some amendments were made to the above MoU in 2008, 2011 and 2013. The latest amendment to the MoU facilitates certifying the Mongolian workforce's skills and specializations, obtained in South Korea, and providing them with opportunities to realize their skills back home by running small and medium businesses. The Minister met with the S.Korean Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Ki-Kweon to exchange views on developing the two countries' labor cooperation and to inform on the measures taken by Mongolian Government on labor. As of this June 20, a total of 8,193 Mongolian citizens are working in the Republic of Korea with labor contracts.
