Crown Prince Naruhito to visit Vietnam in Feb.+
TOKYO, Dec. 25 Kyodo - Crown Prince Naruhito will visit Vietnam for one week from early February next year, the Imperial Household Agency announced Thursday.
It will be decided later whether Crown Princess Masako, who is undergoing
treatment for a stress-induced illness, accompanies her husband, it said.
The Vietnamese government invited the couple to visit as the two countries
marked the 35th anniversary this year of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
Meanwhile, Prince Akishino and his wife Princess Kiko will visit four countries
through which the Danube River flows -- Hungary, Romania, Austria and Bulgaria
-- for about two weeks from around May 2009 at their invitation to commemorate
''Japan-Danube Friendship Year 2009.''
