IPI and CPI indexes decrease

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The industrial production index (seasonally adjusted) in July, 2015 was 130.2 (2010=100), decreased by 5.7 percent from the previous month, decreased by 3.5 percent against the beginning of the year and increased by 11.3 percent over the same period of the previous year. In the mining and quarrying sectors the mining products such as gold , copper with concentrate, crude oil, molybdenum with concentrate increased by 3.5-23.9 percent, the production of metal steel, felt, buuz and dumpling, pure water, vacuum windows and doors, railway sleeper, combed down, kinds of sausage, camel wool blanket, cement, beef, leather boots, shoes, spirit and pure copper increased by 1.0 percent to 7.5 times compared to the same period of 2014. But in the mining and quarrying sectors, the mining products such as zinc concentrate, fluorspar concentrate, of iron ore decreased by 4.6-43.4 percent compared to the end of July, 2014. The production of bread, carpet, articles of iron concrete, ice cream, bakery products, sawn wood, fodder, knitted goods, metal foundries, metal sleeper, milk, lime, alcoholic beverage, steel casting, cigarettes, sheepskin coat, wooden building door and windows, electric wire decreased by 1.6-69.0 percent. In July 2015, the national consumer price index increased by 3.3 percent from beginning of the year and 6.9 percent over the same period of the previous year. This year’s increase was mainly due to increases of 67.4 percent in food and non-alcoholic prices beverages group and 18.7 percent in clothing, footwear and cloth group.
