7 MoUs signed by UB City and concession executing companies

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Seven Memorandums of Understanding was inked Friday by the City of Ulaanbaatar and the companies that will execute the granted projects on building kindergartens, roads and a health resort. In frames of the “State Policy on Public and Private Partnership (PPP)”, adopted by Parliament in 2009, and of the Law on Concession, adopted in 2010, a favorable environment was created for upgrading the PPP by building mutually beneficial cooperation in supplying shortage of and improving the access to the highly-demanded infrastructure and basic social services, addressing the active population growth and urbanization. Since the plenary meeting of the Citizens’ Representatives Khural of Ulaanbaatar in 2014, a total of 46 projects made it to the List of UB City-owned concession items. They include three residency construction projects, nine transportation projects, 20 projects on education, culture and sports, nine healthcare projects, and five projects on infrastructure development and others. The UB City concluded concession agreement on seven projects in 2014, on the demolition of the Sukhbaatar district administration building and turning it into a building for office and service purposes; on building 9.06 km road connecting Olziit Khoroolol (micro district) and the Bird Farm; building an ambulance branch station in Khan-Uul district; building a health resorts for elders in Khan-Uul; on erecting a school for 640 children in 5th khoroo of Nalaikh city; building a Development Center for Children in Nalaikh; and on building a small treatment plant in 5th khoroo of Nalaikh. The projects are keeping up with the schedule. Today’s MoUs were concluded in accordance with the Resolution of the Citizens’ Representatives Khural of Ulaanbaatar No. 132. The resolution allows the UB City to conclude seven concession agreements. MoU were signed on works of demolishing the 21st kindergarten’s building in 16th khoroo of Bayanzurkh district and of reconstructing it as a new kindergarten for 240 children with Renderbau LLC, in building 100 children’s kindergarten with Mongol Els LLC, Songinokhairkhan district’s 60 bed health resort for elders with Avargatoson Rashaan Suvilal LLC, on building 11 km road in Ovor Gunt with Arts Suvarga LLC, building 6.44 km road in Baganuur district with Yalguusan LLC, building 7.36 km road in the north of Gunt mountain pass with Bilegt Zam LLC, and on building a memorial garden with Daiei Probis Mongolia LLC.
