Korea Offers New Tourism Attractions To Malaysians
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- Korea is offering new tourism products to Malaysians for a memorable travelling experience, according to Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) managing director, Park Chul Hyun.
He said the attractions included Gamcheon Cultural Village in Busan, Busan International Film Festival (Oct 1-10, 2015) and Busan Fireworks Festival (Oct 23-24, 2015) that would excite tourists.
"We also offer Jeju Self-Drive to tour Jeju Island where tourists will get to see many villages on the island," he said at the joint press conference between the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) and KTO, here, Wednesday.
Also present were MATTA president Hamzah Rahmat and its chief executive officer Phua Tai Neng.
Park said 270,000 Malaysians were expected to visit Korea this year compared to 244,520 last year.
He said Muslim tourists would be able to enjoy Korean food without worries as there were a few Muslim restaurants on Jeju Island that served fresh seafood.
KTO will be participating in the upcoming MATTA Fair, from Sept 4 to 6 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), where it will have 24 booths.
It will also put up attractive performances and give Malaysians the opportunity to meet popular Korean stars at the fair.
Meanwhile, Hamzah said Malaysians who needed to travel, especially during the ringgit slump, must prepare themselves, including having sufficient money with them, in facing all possibilities.
