Jaafari Endowments strongly condemns terror blasts

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): The Jaafari Endowments Directorate has strongly condemned the series of criminal and terror bombings aimed at subverting security and targeting the security personnel, on the one hand, and destabilising the kingdom, on the other, citing Friday’s terror blast that targeted an on-duty police patrol, and resulted in the martyrdom of a policeman, and the injury of four others, in addition to three members of a Bahraini family. The terrorists’ insistence to carry on their terrorism and crimes against the kingdom will not affect the Bahraini people’s resolve to continue the reform approach spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in order to enhance the nation-building and progress march, foster social cohesion and strengthen national unity. It will not also discourage the security personnel’s readiness to make sacrifices to defend national security and stability, and the gains of its people, the Jaafari Endowments said in a statement issued today. The panel called on influential social groups, religious and cultural organisations to condemn the heinous terror blast openly and firmly to root out terrorists and traitors and isolate its perpetrators, as well as sedition heads who incite them under false slogans. It also urged them to expose their treason and hatred of the nation, and denounce all forms of foreign interference in the kingdom’s domestic affairs. The directorate dismissed the targeting of policemen as a vicious criminal act that is incompatible with the Islamic precepts, human values and al laws and norms, stressing that it is alien to the Bahraini people’s long-standing commitment to tolerance, solidarity and fraternity. It also called on the Bahraini people to rally together in full force, as it has always done, to protect the values of peaceful co-existence through stepping up efforts to safeguard national gains and maintain security and stability, the pre-requisites of security, prosperity and development for all. The Jaafari Endowments reiterated its pride in the efforts exerted by the Interior Ministry, led by the Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, to ensure security and stability across the kingdom. The panel extended profound condolences and sympathy to HM the King, the government, the people and the family of the deceased, praying to Allah Almighty to bless his relatives with fortitude and patience and grant the wounded quick recovery.
