Laos wins congratulatory certificates at ASEAN artisan competition
(KPL) Participants from Laos have won congratulatory certificates for masonry and carpentry at the ASEAN artisan competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 10 to 19 November 2008.
The mason is Mr Phoutsady Sayasean, from the Pakpasak Technical School and the carpenter is Mr Toujang Kaiyeupor from the Laos-Korea Vocational School.
The congratulation certificates were presented by Mr Laoly Faiphengyao, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Vientiane on 26 December. The ASEAN artisan competition started in 1995 and the Lao PDR has been sending competitors since then. For this year, Laos competed in seven trades, carpentry, food processing, masonry, electricity, IT, and tailoring.
