Fake goods put on fire
(KPL) Fake goods smuggled from China worth 123 million kip were put on fire last Friday at KM 32 rubbish disposal dump, Saythany district, Vientiane Capital.
The fake goods infringed copyrights and trademark that local private companies enrolled copyrights with the Lao Government.
The goods comprised 53 boxes of Colgate toothpaste, 28 boxes of Daly toothpaste and 77 boxes of mouthwash and 17 boxes of cigarettes were put on fire which was attended by Mr Santisouk Vilaychaleun, Head of the Department of Domestic Commerce, and officials concerned.
Local authorities urged all social strata to monitor fake goods and then inform authorities.
