Man confesses forcibly took 5-yr-old girl to his house in Chiba Pref.

CHIBA, Japan, Dec. 30 Kyodo - A 21-year-old man accused of killing a 5-year-old girl in Togane, Chiba Prefecture, in September has confessed that he forcibly carried the girl to his house, investigative sources said Tuesday.

The sources said the suspect, Ryo Katsuki, made the admission during
questioning by investigators at Togane Police Station in connection with the
death of Yukimaro Narita.
Katsuki had initially told investigators that he had met the girl several times
in the past and urged her to return home, the sources said.
But he recently changed his account, saying he encountered the girl at a
crossing near a hospital where the girl's 38-year-old mother works and took her
to his house, the sources said.
As for his motive for taking the girl to his house, the suspect told
investigators that he wanted to talk with her, the sources added.
The police served a fresh arrest warrant on Katsuki last Friday on suspicion of
killing Yukimaro at his home by drowning her in a bathtub.
Katsuki was arrested earlier in the month for allegedly dumping the body of the
girl, a nursery school student from Togane, on the side of a road near a park
in the city on Sept. 21.
The police suspect Katsuki killed the girl between 11:18 a.m. and 12:26 p.m. on
Sept. 21, investigative sources said earlier.
