Free trade area agreement with Turkey may be signed in 2016 - Russia’s Minister of Economic Development

ISTANBUL, October 5. /TASS/. The free trade area agreement in the sphere of services and investments may be signed with Turkey in 2016, Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukayev said on Monday after the meeting with his Turkish counterpart Nihat Zeybekci. "I would not like to endanger the success but I hope that in 2016. I expect the document will be available by the end of October," Ulyukayev said. The parties are also discussing an intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation for 2016-2019, the minister added. There are still several outstanding points in the above agreement pertaining to transport and energy, Ulyukayev said. Read more
