Nat’l committee for reducing air pollution meets

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ This committee met Tuesday with a participation of its chairman and the Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg. The Premier said the national committee has now governors of Ovorkhangai, Bayankhongor, Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul, Omnogobi, Khovd and Khovsgol aimag where air pollution is increasing. "This decision has been made after discussing changes to the committee’s composition and operations". After this, the state administrative body on environmental matters considered as necessity to evaluate steps, made in reducing pollution, as one of the criteria for concluding works of the Ulaanbaatar city’s Mayor and governors of aimags. The committee also discussed directions of the works to be done in 2015-2016, a course of the 2015 works by the “Fresh Air” fund, a present situation in delivery of briquettes, and proposals for taking measures for improving air quality in Ulaanbaatar.
