Russia’s foreign ministry conforms Egypt extending all possible help over A321 crash
MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Egypt is offering all possible assistance in investigation of the Russian A321 crash, Russian Foreign Minister Spokeswoman said on Sunday.
"I would like to say that we have received all guarantees from the Egyptian side that it will extend all possible assistance in the probe into the crash. I can confirm that Egypt is offering all possible help to us. There are no problems here," she told the LifeNews television channel.
A passenger A321 jet of Russia’s Kogalymavia air carrier (flight 9268) bound to St. Petersburg crashed on October 31 some 30 minutes after the takeoff from Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh. It felld down 100 kilometers south of the administrative center of North Sinai Governorate, the city of Al-Arish. The plane was carrying 217 passengers and seven crew. None survived.
President Vladimir Putin declared Sunday, November 1, a day of mourning for the worst air disaster in Russian history. St. Petersburg will be mourning over the crash victims till November 3.
