Malaysian Companies Participating At Manufacturing Indonesia 2015

By Azeman Ariffin JAKARTA, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- Ten Malaysian companies are participating in the Manufacturing Indonesia 2015 in conjunction with the Jakarta International Expo here. Their participation is being spearheaded by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade). Matrade's Trade Commissioner in Indonesia, Naim Abdul Rahman said, the exhibition from Dec 2-5, will see more than one hundred business meetings taking place between the Malaysian delegation and Indonesian companies. He said the Malaysian companies are producers of high precision tools, die-casting parts, sealing products, boilers, pressure vessels and 3D printers. "They are here to meet and discuss with their Indonesian counterparts on business opportunities and potential market distribution for products," he told Malaysian reporters here Friday. He said Matrade was promoting their participation through various channels, including personalised invitations and one-to-one business meetings. According to Naim, Indonesia is a very big market with over 250 million people and its manufacturing industry was growing at an average of 4-5 per cent annually. Malaysia is one of the top 10 suppliers of machinery, appliances and parts to Indonesia. The market imported more than US$23.72 billion (RM100 billion) worth of machinery, appliances and parts in 2014. --BERNAMA
