BANGKOK, Dec 8 (TNA) -- Sales of cars and motorcycles at the ongoing 32nd Thailand International Motor Expo 2015 are surprisingly bullish while organisers are confident that sales would meet the target, said Kwanchai Papaspong, chief organiser of the event. Cars booked at the Motor Expo 2015 during the past six days, started from December 1, totaled 13,114 while reservation for motorcycles was 2,023, said Mr Kwanchai. A total of 11 manufacturing countries are displaying 34 brands at the Motor Expo at IMPACT Challenger, Muang Thong Thani. The Expo is scheduled to end on December 13. Mr Kwanchai said it is projected that booking for cars would reach 50,000 units and 3,000 for motorcycles at the Expo. About 1.5 million visitors are expected to visit the Motor Expo with over 55 billion baht in circulation. Sales of brand new cars are expected to pick up before the end of this month as the Thai government will raise excise tax for new auto from next January 1. (TNA)
