Chinese ambassador presents 99 bikes in support of BFD event
BANGKOK, Dec 9 (TNA) -- The Chinese ambassador to Thailand has presented 99 bicycles to the Thai government in support of the upcoming Bike For Dad (BFD) 2015, while pledging that the Chinese government has always given great importance to the friendship with Thailand and that it is ready to closely cooperate with Thailand in all aspects.
Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Mr Ning Fukui paid a courtesy call on Thai Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-o-cha on Tuesday, to present 99 bicycles to Thai government in support of the BFD event, which is set to commence on December 11.
The ambassador said the Chinese Embassy in Thailand is more than honoured to be participating in the cycling event in celebrations of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 88th birthday anniversary.
He said Thailand and China have always had a close relationship and that the Thai Royal Family has constantly worked to support and improve the bonds and prosperity between the two countries.
He also noted that the Chinese government has given great importance to the friendship with Thailand and is more than welcome to strengthen the relationship and increase closer cooperation with Thailand.
The Thai premier, meanwhile, expressed his thanks to the Chinese government for its support for the cycling event and stated that the Thai government would now present the bikes to Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, informing HRH that of the gifts were presented by the Chinese government to give support to the BFD.
Gen Prayuth further affirmed the smooth ties between the two sides, saying that both countries share a special relationship and that Thailand is ready to cooperate with China in all sectors for the benefits of the both parties. (TNA)
