Savannakhet’s export increased by 23.6 per cent

(KPL) The export of Savannakhet province last year was 755 million US dollars, increased by 3.24 per cent over its annual target and 23.63 per cent from the year before.
The main export of the province was minerals, sharing 75 per cent of its entire export and most of them were exported to Vietnam, Thailand, Australia and China.
Head of Savannakhet Provincial Commerce and Industry Service, Mr. Somvang Vongvath, said last week that wood processed products accounted for 1.35 per cent, non-timber forest product did 0.04 per cent, agro-produce shared 0.50 per cent and agro-industrial products shares 0.1 per cent.
Mr. Somvang said that the import-for-export and transit goods shared 20 and 3.4 per cent, respectively, of the entire export of the province. The province imported over 400 million US dollars last year.
