New Year celebrate with stomachache

(KPL) One hundred and eighty-eight workers of an old Lao Garment Factory have immediately been sent to hospitals at mid-night of New Year celebration, caused by sudden stomachache.
The event happened at the celebration after workers have taken dinner at the party, organized by their factory, located in Phonpapao village, Sisatanak district, Vientiane.
The food was allegedly bought from a popular buffet restaurant in Sikhottabong district, Vientiane Capital.
At 9 pm, a batch of workers showed sudden stomachache symptom and they have been suddenly sent to the hospital nearly. At the same time, more workers have had the same symptom and sent to the hospitals in Vientiane Capital. It counted for 188 people, of whom was a three year old child have been in hospitals.
Seeing the serious case, the host ordered to close the party at 10 pm.
Mr Khammanh Naenolath, Head of Personnel Administration Division of the factory explained last Friday that the workers have had stomachache caused by having food poisoning.
The day later, the authorities of Department of Food and Drug in cooperation with police of Sisatanak Police Station inspected the foods at party. The inspection found that food poisoning.
In this case, the restaurant owner showed responsibility to pay treatment cost for all patients.
