Thai PM reports government performances

BANGKOK, December 23 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has reported on his government's performances and promised to take good care of all people despite movements against his interim administration in the country and overseas. The prime minister spent about an hour at Bangkok's Government House on Wednesday to publicly report the work of his government in its first year of administration, from September 12, 2014, to Sept 12, 2015. The prime minister said that his government would like people to realize that differences have been made and in the next one year and six months of his remaining term, he will continue laying down foundations and working out plans for national progress over the next 20 years. The Thai premier stated that the foundations and plans are aimed at the well-being of all groups of people in the country and their success requires cooperation from everyone, including members of mass media who can help build the national unity by not giving space for liars to create any conflict. “I admit that work has obstacles because of pressures from foreign parties and movements from opponents that are creating misunderstanding in the country and elsewhere. They are demanding the full freedom and democracy that the government is still unable to offer because of past national problems. But I assure that the government does not reject democracy,” stressed the Thai premier. (TNA)
